Class Information

Our Next Beginner Classes will take place in the form of the Intensive Beginner Workshops from End of May - Mid July.  Enrollment begins for these on Sunday, April 23rd. For more information please visit our Beginner Workshop page on this website

The Next 6 week courses will begin on Saturday, July 15th and conclude by Friday, August 25th

These classes meet once a week on the same day / time each week for the full six week course.

This course begins with the Saturday classes in order to accommodate our annual pottery throw down event on August 26th where current beginner 2 & intermediate students will have a chance to test their skill on the wheel facing off with fellow classmates.

New Student Registration will go live on Sunday, June 25th at 1pm

Current Students & Studio Members have first options on classes, so it is possible that some classes may not have availability on the day of New Student Registration.

If you would like to be in the know when New Student Registration is Open/Live, sign up for our email list so you don't miss out!

Classes will take place in six-week increments. In every six-week cycle, we will make our way through the pottery process which includes: throwing on the wheel, trimming, and glazing. In the first five weeks, we will focus on making work, and in the final week, we will all glaze together.  All classes are for individuals 18 and older.  Currently, we do not offer any classes for young children.

Pricing & Other Details

Option One

Class Fee - $295 per six-week session for weekly classes (Tools & Clay Not included)

    - Beginner Tool Kit Costs - $35 (one time cost) - Our kit is the Kemper tool kit and a few extras we feel are needed

    - Clay is available for purchase at the price of $20 for 25 lbs of stoneware.  This usually lasts a  beginner for the full 6-week

    - Make-up classes are NOT offered as each of our courses will focus on a specific skill and it is not possible to catch up on

instruction during the weeks you are gone. Having said that, your teacher can help you determine the best way to finish your

work by the end of the six weeks should missing a week be unavoidable.

Once your course fee has been paid, your spot will be reserved.

Option Two

Once you have completed a full six week course at Twisted Clay, you are eligible to switch over to membership.  This is another way to pay for classes.  Please see the membership page for more information.  Twisted Clay student membership is a flat monthly fee that would replace the $295 per 6-week course fee for those looking for ongoing classes.  While it is not an unlimited pass to the studio, it is another way to pay for classes that is easier to budget as the fee is charged monthly instead of every six weeks.  The rates are as follows:

    - $185 per month (2-month commitment, a 30-day notice required to end after two months has passed)

    - $175 per month (6-month commitment, a 30-day notice required to end after six months has passed)

The membership will come with the following benefits:

     - Weekly Class included in membership

     - First option on class schedule when the new session starts

     - Extra wheel time can be booked in studio plus for $25 per visit

     - Hand towel will be provided for studio time

Return Policy & Makup Classes

Please keep in mind that sign-ups are for a specific class time on specific dates.  Twisted Clay does not offer make-up classes.

Class signups are two weeks prior to the start of each six-week course.  We do not offer refunds for classes once you have signed up as we turn students away from the studio every six weeks.  We do not have the option to prorate the class.
